Oh Tannenbäumchen
Cute little knitted trees, stuffed and decorated with beads, sequins or whatever you like.
The trunk is crocheted.
Those tiny Christmas trees were originally knitted in a sport weight yarn, but you can take whatever you like. The yarn should full up a bit, to hide the stuffing. So only very tight plied or spun yarns might be not so good.
Always choose needles/hook so, that you will get a quite tight knitting.
The size will depend on the yarn you use. Mine was sport weight and resulted in 10-12cm (4-5 in) high trees, but thicker yarn will give bigger trees. Very bulky yarn maybe even a small cushion.
Beads and sequins were applied after seaming and stuffing the tree, using a fine sewing thread (AlterfilS 120) in a matching color and a fine sewing needle.
And of course you can add a hanger, too. ;-)
Have fun!
