Ohra is Finnish for ‘barley’.

Ohra Socks are knitted toe-up and in the round. The leg and foot part have a textured pattern which consists of cables and wrapped stitches portraying as barleys. There are two heel options available; a German Short Row Heel and Fleegle Heel. The cuff is worked in twisted ribbing.

Circumference around the foot 7.5 (8.5) 9” / 19 (21.5) 23 cm. Length of the foot is adjustable.

Choose a size that is 0.5–1.5 cm smaller than your circumference around the foot!

MATERIALS:

Yarn:
1 skein of Ovis by Woollentwine Fibrestudio (50% Cheviot wool, 50% Jacobs wool, 375 m / 410 yds per 100 g) in the colourway Ceres or approximately 275–325 m / 300–355 yds of fingering weight sock yarn

Needles: 2.00 mm / US 0 circular needles with 80 cm / 32-inch-long cable. Always use a needle size that gets you to the gauge.

Note! The pattern is written for Magic Loop technique, but you can also use DPNs (double pointed needle).
