The cowl is knit flat from the bottom tip, with yarnover increases and a knit one/purl one edge on either side, then joined in the round and knit in stockinette until the yarn runs out - just be sure you leave enough to bind off. The stockinette stitch creates a lovely rolled edge at the top of the cowl.

The length is customizable and will vary depending on gauge and yarn used. Based on your preference, you can make it shorter or longer. If you choose to make it longer, you may need to purchase more yarn.

This project is a great opportunity to splurge on a treat yarn - so grab that beauty you’ve been eyeing at your local yarn shop, or support one of the many great independent yarn dyers out there.
