Oket Pullover or Cardigan
“Oket” (The Yoke) was designed by Bohus founder Emma Jacobsson for Bohus Stickning in the 1940s.
The knitting kit for the yoke is based on original patterns and models from museum collections and mittens borrowed from Kerstin Olsson. The yoke is recreated with a straight yoke and as mittens. On request, the yoke can also be knitted as a pullover or cardigan with a full-patterned front. It is knit from the bottom up.
The garment is knitted from the bottom up with a sewn-in sleeve in a two-strand lambswool yarn from Henrichsen Uldspinderi in Denmark. The lambswool yarn consists of merino wool from New Zealand and a small portion from Gotland fur sheep. The lambswool is mulesing-free.
Oket is knit with two yarns that have been dyed at the spinning mill according to original yarns. The bottom of Oket is knitted in gray mottled yarn from the spinning mill.
