The “OLAF” hat - snow much fun!

This fun snowman hat is knit in the round in simple stockinette. It’s topped with an extra-large “snowball” pom pom. The snowmen and their bright scarves are knit separately and sewn on.

THE BASICS

• Pattern includes 6 sizes: Newborn / 3-6 months / 6-12 months / Toddler / Child / Adult

• Pattern is written in ENGLISH and uses standard U.S. knitting terms

• Instructions are for knitting in the round on circular and double pointed needles

• Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)

• Knitting skill level - INTERMEDIATE

• Approx. 90 to 180 yds (82 to 165 m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for hat

• Approx. 60 yds (55 m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for pom pom and snowmen

• Approx. 1 yd (m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for EACH scarf

• U.S. size 6 (4mm) 12” or 16” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 6 (4mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• Stitch marker

• Yarn needle
