I love the idea of knitted lace but I don’t think I am a very lacy person. This shawlette has a hint of geometric lace at the top with rows of eyelets that lead down to an arched edging. I gave it a sunny Spanish name as it reminds me of the many beautiful buildings I visited on a trip to Spain some years ago.

The yellow version is knitted up in a worsted weight to ward off wintry chills while the blue version is done in a fingering weight resulting in a slightly smaller shawl to fend off breezes during the other seasons.

Finished dimensions of worsted version: width at top: 54” (137cm) and length at centre: 24” (61cm). I was able to block the fingering-weight version to about two inches shy (in both directions) of the ww version.
