Old Fashioned Christmas Lights
Old-Fashioned Christmas Lights is a simple pattern and a great stash buster! The pattern is written for one Christmas light and the crochet/braided garland to hang them. For each additional light, calculate approximately 8 yards in main color and 2 yards of evergreen yarn.
Gauge is not important for these, but make sure that your needle is small enough and your tension is tight enough to not leave holes that your fiberfill will show through!
Any sport weight yarn will work for these, but I love Nature Spun by Brown Sheep because of their array of bright colors! The colors I used were:
N24S Evergreen
N54S Orange You Glad
305S Impasse Yellow
105S Bougainvillea
116S Blue Boy
205S Regal Purple
108S Cherry Delight
109S Spring Green
Fill your lights with polyester fiberfill or old yarn ends. Make one as an ornament, a few as a window hanging, or 100 to wrap around your Christmas tree this year!

Thank you! Happy Holidays!
