I am inspired by outdoor landscapes and dramatic foregrounds. In this cowl, there is an old fence in front of a backdrop of hills and mountains.

Knitted in the round, there are two charts one for the front and one for the back. The two charts are mirror images of each other, so that once all knit up, the fence line blends from every angle.

There is lots of color work in this pattern, which I think is part of the fun, but some floats do carry a fair number of strands, so hang in there! It’s best in those areas if the floats are short in those sections.

I really loved designing this cowl, and picking out the variegated colorways to add depth to the knitted fabric. I hope you enjoy it too!
