Old Perlican

Old Perlican is a huge square hap combining entrelac, lace, bobbles, and stranded colourwork in an interesting modular construction. The border of each corner is worked flat and then transitions to entrelac to fill in the corner. The four corners are joined by working main colour panels inwards. Mitred stranded colourwork is worked in the round forming a central square band before working the small diamonds of lace entrelac that fill in the centre as the finishing touch of this gorgeously unique heirloom project.

Old Perlican is pattern #7 of Landed, Volume 1: The Avalon, Timeless Lace and Stranded Knitting Patterns for the Adventurous Handknitter.
