Construction
Old Red is the sweater that keeps on giving. The original design was made from rehab yarn from a cardigan that was worn and worn again. So when it came time to knit a new sweater and red was on my mind, I thought… lets repurpose this yarn into a new true favorite! This is how “Old Red” was born. The pattern is written using DK weight yarn and is knit from the top down seamlessly in the round with a purl stitch pattern and ending the yoke with a few carefully placed bobble stitches. There are optional short rows used on the body using German short rows or desired wrap and turn method to give this garment a well tailored fit. The sleeves and waist of this pullover are decorated with a simple purl stitch design to tie it all together. Pattern is written in Chart Only.
This pattern has not made it thought all stages of testing.
