Old Shale Shawl
This pattern is
available for free.
From the designer, Linda:
A very nicely textured rectangular shawl. Make it in whatever size suits you. The stitch pattern is a 4 row repeat and very easy to learn. I really love this stitch! The resulting shawl is very huggable!
YARN
Worsted weight white or other light coloured cotton yarn.
I used almost a 400g ball of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (584 m / 526 yds)
NEEDLES
Pair of single pointed needles, or a circular, 5.00 mm or thereabouts (not crucial so long as you get a soft, drapey fabric).
SIZE
Finished size about 15 by 60 inches (40 by 150 cm)
