This top-down shawl is worked in 3 wedges resulting in a half-circle shape using the original Old Shale stitch pattern and several variations on that theme.
Sample was created using Bad Sheep Yarn—DK weight 75/25 superwash merino & nylon (245 yd/100 g) in the following colorways:
Color A—Incandescently Happy
Color B—Calico Prairie
Color C—William Wilson
Color D—Folklore
Color E—Spiced Currant
Color F—Bordeaux
Any number of colors in DK weight can be used by alternating colors as desired.
Gauge is not important for this pattern.
Finished size of sample (blocked): 56” wide by 28” deep at center
