Oleander Top
This pattern has NOT been tested in the 2 largest sizes. I have chosen to include them regardless - if you want to test knit one of them, please contact me at pia@fiftyfabulous.dk
The Oleander Top is inspired by the beautiful Oleander hedge surrounding my terrasse. The long, pointy leaves and the gorgeous flowers never fail to make me happy, and I wanted to recreate their beauty in my knitting.
The Oleander is knit top down, so it’s easy to adjust length on both body and sleeves. The delicate lace on the yoke turns into reversed stockinette stitch. The work is turned, so you can knit around from the inside of the top, rather than purling the entire body.
I have made a summer version and a winter version of the Oleander. The only differences between the two are the yarn and the sleeve-length – please note though, that the long sleeves have not been tested in all sizes! They are just added as a bonus feature.
