Olga Shawl
This is a semi-circle shawl or circular afghan. This pattern is for advanced beginner to intermediate crocheter.
The pattern is designed to be adjustable with the number of wedges and number of bands in the shawl. Rows 1 to 3 give indication of how to achieve this. The border pattern can be incorporated into any of the bands. There are two versions to choose from.
There are small charts in each row of the written pattern to assist with visualising where corners are and the placement of stitches.
Yarn:
I suggest KoKonki Motki Ombre (50% cotton, 50% acrylic), KoKonki Motki Ombre Merino (50% merino, 50% acrylic), KoKonki Motki Ombre Shine (6% metallic lurex 47% cotton 47% acrylic), or KoKonki Motki Ombre Soft (100% acrylic).
Available online at kokonki.pl. #kokonki #kokonkimotkiombre
They also have a range of Scheepjes and YarnArt Flowers, yarn which would also be suitable for this project.
My project:
I used a 2000m skein of KoKonki Merino Summer Storm (granat/fumo/szaro-niebieski melanż/safari/jasny beż/żółty). I completed 6 wedges and 6 full bands, with the border on the 7th band.
Hook: 3.5mm
Dedication:
Mariola Malinowska is THAT awesome, that she gets a second pattern dedication. This one is named for one of her daughters.
