This pattern uses the crocodile stitch to create a super squishy dragon scale cocoon style blanket. I create this blanket for a baby/toddler and so this pattern creates a blanket 28 cm wide, 60 cm (main part of the tail) + 21 cm (tail end) = 81 cm long (depending on your gauge) however to make a smaller/bigger blanket you can simply do less/more rounds for the main part of the blanket. For an adult size blanket you may want to use a heavier yarn weight. This pattern is written using American terminology

  • 4 x Robin paintbox double knit, shade 1138 (300m/328 yards each)
  • 4.5 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Small amount of stuffing fluff

This is just what I used, feel free to use whatever yarn/ hook size that works for you. The yarn I used recommended a 4mm hook, but I found the 4.5mm much easier to work with.
