Olivia Skirt
*******NOTICE 14 FEB 2023********
Since I first jotted down this pattern in 2009 I have been thrilled to see how popular it has been and how many have downloaded and made the Olivia Skirt.
In 2021 I completely revised and rewrote the pattern for clarity and with all the extra information I originally intended. Due to the extensive changes and improvements, I have listed this as a new design - now called the Olivia Eloise Skirt In 2023 I made the decision to retire the free version. Please go and check out the new version and thank you for your support.
The size is determined by waist measurement. This pattern can be made for a baby right up to adult sizes.
I Recommend 8 ply (DK), Sport (5 ply) or Fingering (4 ply) yarn but it can be made in any yarn you like. Cotton or wool are great choices, as is acrylic or blends.
The sample was made in Cashmerino 8 ply.
The pattern is flexible and can work with a wide variety of gauges.
Choose your hook size according to your yarn.
The top-down design makes it easy to try on and adjust as you go. If you make it in a DK or Worsted weight yarn it makes up very fast, especially when making for that super cute toddler age.
