Size: Toddler to small child ~ 18” (45)cm.

Size 7 (4.5mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle was used for the ribbing.
Size 8 (5mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle for the body of the hat.
Size 6 (4mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle for the top of the hat. I like a hat that is not so bulky at the top so I use a smaller needle (which uses less yarn) for the top of some of my hats.

This child’s hat was knit in the round and bound off using the Kitchener stitch. A link to my video tutorial on the Kitchener stitch is provided in the pattern.

This is the perfect unisex hat for your toddler or small child. Using different colors of yarn you can knit this hat for a boy or a girl. Any color combination would work. Choose the child’s favorite color and you will be a hit.

I am happy to help. You can always contact me if you have any questions along the way.

As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
