Ollie's Classic Crew
Ollie’s Classic crew was designed with my sweet son in mind. This sweater is meant to be a cozy sweatshirt for everyday wear, with comfortable details and an oversized fit. It is knit from the top down with deep raglan shaping and neat folded hems.
Sizing
Baby, 12M, 18M, 2-3 YR (4-5 YR, 6-7 YR, 8-9 YR, 10+ YR)
Finished circumference: 22.5, 23.5, 26.5, 27.5 (29.5, 31, 33, 34) in / 57, 59.5, 67.5, 70 (75, 78.5, 784, 86.5) cm
Size Notes: To choose the best fit, measure the circumference of child’s chest and add 6 in / 15 cm of positive ease for a relaxed fit. Sample shown in size 18M. See schematic for detailed finished garment measurements.
Yarn
345, 400, 470, 515 (635, 745, 870, 980) yds / 315, 366, 430, 471 (581, 681, 796, 896) sport weight to DK/light worsted weight wool yarn. Includes yds/m needed for gauge swatch.
Suggested Yarns: Purl Soho Good Wool 383 yds/350 m per 100g skein, 100% Andean highland wool. Substitutions: Drops Karisma ($), Cascade 220 Sport ($$), Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia ($$$), Madeline Tosh Farm Twist ($$$$), Woolfolk Tov DK ($$$$$)

Gauge and Needles
20 stitches & 28 rounds = 4” (10cm) in stockinette in the round, after blocking, on larger needles
US size 6 (4 mm) 16 or 24 inch circular needle and DPNs or preferred needle for small circumference knitting OR needle size required to obtain gauge
US size 4 (3.5 mm) 16 or 24 inch circular needle and DPNs or preferred needle for small circumference knitting OR two sizes smaller than needle size required to obtain gauge
Extras: Stitch markers, tapestry needle
Techniques
Long tail cast on, knitting in the round, wrap and turn short rows, right and left leaning increases, stockinette stitch, purling, picking up stitches, three needle bind off, sewing down a collar
