US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, circular for working flat, or size used to obtain gauge
Same size or smaller spare circular for attaching ruffles
Note: straight needles can be used, but the ruffles are easier to attach with circulars

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, optional hook and eye

Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st.

Note: Cardigan is worked from the bottom up with the ruffles attached as the fronts are worked. Long-tail cast-on is used for all pieces.
