It is more important to get gauge and like the fabric of the hat, than to use worsted weight yarn some people do not like the feel of Worsted weight at this gauge and would prefer to use DK (8Ply) yarn.

My Oma originally designed this pattern, when I was just a baby, or before, I received her notes in 2007, when she could no longer knit, as her alzheimer’s became to advanced. After five years of studying the pattern, and rewriting it, I am finally ready to release it.
