Pink and White Ombre Mohair Sweater

An easy knitting pattern for beginners / advanced beginners, with clear instructions and illustrations.

Sweater is knitted in moss stitch and stocking stitch.

Sweater is knitted bottom up on circular and straight 5 mm needles.

Available in one size, L / XL, which would be a perfect fit for UK size 16 / 18 or US 12 / 14. The sweater is oversize and is a boxy shape.

A total of 2200 meters of silk / mohair yarn is needed for this sweater. This pattern uses NoryYarns 28% Mulberry Silk / 72% Kid Mohair yarn - 11 balls in all.

Each ball of NoryYarns mulberry silk / kid mohair yarn weighs 25 grams and measures 210 meters. This yarn is available on Etsy. It is a lovely, soft yarn and is extremely good value.

The pattern uses 6 balls NoryYarns silk / mohair in Linen colour, 4 balls NoryYarns silk / mohair in Baby Pink colour and 1 ball NoryYarns silk / mohair in Plum colour.

(Please note that I used The Common Thread Silky Singles yarn in Wilted Rose colour (light fingering weight) in place of the NoryYarns Plum colour silk / mohair.)

Other similar weight silk / mohair yarns could be substituted for the NoryYarns yarn.

Knitting tension is 20 stitches and 25 rows / 10 x 10 cm square, knitted in stocking stitch on 5 mm needles.
