Quick and easy fedora style hat with wire edged brim. This hat features a bulky weight yarn #5 and two strands of #4 worsted weight held together throughout. To achieve the ombre’ stripes you will need 9 different colors of worsted weight yarn in at least 20 yards per color, this makes it the perfect hat to make with your leftover yarn scraps! It’s fun to mix unusual color combinations and see how pretty they come out together.

You will need 40” of wire for the brim to retain its flat look. I use stainless steel millinery wire which can be purchased from various vendors online and on etsy. There is also a plastic version of this wire with connectors that can be substituted. The hat can be worn without the wire brim, but it will resemble more of a bucket hat.

Have fun creating this easy hat and please post photos of your finished creations!
