An easy and satisfying cowl which you can wear doubled-up or loose. The pattern shows it in fingering weight yarn but it would be equally gorgeous (and more snuggly) in something heavier. An ombre kit isn’t essential (it would still be ace in a single colour), but it does make it especially beautiful.

YARN:
500-550 yards of fingering weight yarn. The sample uses a ‘Party of Five’ Tough Love Sock gradient kit by SweetGeorgia Yarns (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon).

If you were using two skeins of regular fingering weight yarn, you could make a deeper cowl (cast on the same number of stitches, but keep the pattern going for longer before casting off).

NEEDLES:
3.5mm (US 4) circular needles

GAUGE AND SIZING:
Exact gauge isn’t at all crucial on this cowl. The sample shown has a gauge of 24 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm/4 inches.
