Omring
Omring = literal translated to surround
I’ve been so lucky as a designer to be surrounded by a lot of skilled and lovely women in 2022.
This pattern is designed as a small gesture and a sincere appreciation of this year’s 52 test knitters, translators and Sue-Cat my tech-editor.
I’m still here - thanks to you ❤️
Note! This little pattern has not been test knitted or tech edit as my patterns usual are - it’s a surprise pattern
OmRing is a “rib-thing” meant to be worn under your sweater – to lenghten a cropped sweater or a sweater you wish was 5-10cm/2-4” longer.
It can be worn under the bust/above the waist, at the waist or below waist.
It will look like you are wearing a thin, elegant pullover with long ribbed hem under your sweater……AND besides getting more use of your sweaters, it also warms your back and stomach = it’s a “win-win thing” .
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7)
OmRing is designed to be worn with 10cm/4” negative ease. Measure yourself below bust/above waist and choose a size that gives you a negative ease.
OmRing will be worn with slightly stretched rib.
Circumference at high waist (unstretched): 75 (79, 84.5, 89) (93.5, 98, 102) cm/ 29.5 (31, 33.25, 35) (36.75, 38.5, 40)”
Gauge
32 stitches x 36 rows for 10cm/4” square in 1x1 unstretched rib with needle 3.0mm/US 2½ after wet blocking.
Yarn
2 (2, 2, 3) (3, 4, 4) skeins of Puno, by Pascuali, 65% cotton (GOTS), 35% alpaca fiber, fingering, 200m/218y per 50g/1.76oz (sample worked in color 032).
Note! Yardage is an estimate for working according to measurements. If you want a longer/shorter version adjust the skeins needed to work another length.
