The name for these designs comes from the quilting tradition of turning blocks “on point”, as the motif reminded me of a quilt block!

This pattern is suitable for the knitter with experience reading a chart and stranded colorwork.

Finished hat has a circumference of 22 inches and is 8.5 inches tall after blocking. Hat was blocked over a medium sized mixing bowl. It is shown on a 22 inch head.

I used one skein each of Cascade BFL (262 yards/100grams) in colors 22 and 5. You will have enough yarn left over to make the matching On Point Mittens.
