This light weight scarf worked in two colors is knit in stockinette stitch on the bias starting at one corner and working to the middle of the scarf. The other half is worked the same way and then the two halves are sewn together using a Kitchener stitch. An edge stitch makes a natural border around the scarf and the scarf does not curl after blocking when using the recommended yarn.

Five cones of Ito Washi are used.

It’s a lot of stockinette stitch on fine needles, so it’s not for everyone, but the result is a colorful scarf for those in-between seasons.

If you hate weaving in ends, this is not for you!

Bonus: At the end of the pattern are instructions to make On the Bias: Autumn Edition - worked in blocks of color rather than stripes.
