On the Diagonal Pillow Cover
The fun diagonal texture in this pillow cover is created by slipping stitches while holding the working yarn on the right side of the work. The piece is worked flat for the button flap and then in the round until the desired length. The bottom of the cover is sewn together closed using Three Needle Bind Off. A fun closure is made with an icord and toggle buttons (or buttons of your choice).
The three simple stitches used in this pattern, knit, purl, and slip stitch, make it a perfect choice for a beginner! and because of the quickly memorized repeating pattern, it’s a relaxing and rhythmic knit for the experienced knitter as well.
