These fun colourwork socks are super simple but result in a striking accessory when done in contrasting colours. With just enough slipped-stitch colourwork (mosaic knitting) to keep it interesting from start to finish, you’ll love the process AND the product of this pattern!

In terms of construction, these socks are worked from the cuff-down and use mosaic knitting (slipped stitches) to create the motif on the calf and foot area. The unique heel flap is worked using a simple 1x1 stranded colourwork technique that results in an overall eye-catching heel.

Sizing and Yarn

Gauge: 32 stitches/42 rows in 4 inches in stockinette

Please note that it’s always an option to adjust your needle size to increase or decrease the final size of your sock.

Any fingering weight yarn can be used but I urge you to check out the Canadian dyers whose beautiful yarn I used. They are talented ladies!
