This lacy confection is a classic semicircular pi shawl, worked from the bottom up. Worked on #4 needles it measures about 18” deep, and about 46” across its top edge.

Part I of the pattern produces a bottom scalloped edge. Then parts II, III, and IV all flow gracefully from their preceding parts, using variations on the mock cable theme.

This shawl can be beaded, though its lines are just as alluringly feminine all by themselves.
