Hello Friends,

This is a simple drawstring bag that I designed to help me when I was crocheting while travelling Australia
.
I always found that my yarn wanted to run off and this would result in it getting dirty and knotted. Now I can pop it into this little bag and carry it with me where ever I go….On The Go Yarn Bag. It’s the travel version of a yarn bowl.

It is very versatile and can be made to suit any size ball of yarn. I have made them for 100gm balls of yarn and yarn cakes.

I make them with 100% cotton for ease of washing and durability.

You can use one colour or a combination of colours…. your imagination is the only limit. You can even add decorations to personalise the bag.

They are a great gift idea for your fellow crochet or knitting friend.

You’ll need:

  • 1 Ball of 8ply Cotton (you can use wool but I find cotton doesn’t pick up as much dirt if it falls on the floor)

  • 4mm Crochet Hook

  • Yarn (embroidery)needle

  • Scissors

This pattern is easy so it suits beginners and up.

I hope you enjoy making this bag and it makes your life easier when on the move. I know it was a blessing for me.

Love and Blessings Shaz
