On the Mountain is a sweet mosaic knit cowl originally designed for the “It Takes a Vail Valley” Initiative in 2020 and finally published here on Ravelry in July of 2024.

This quick knit highlights our beautiful Vail colors of nature: two color palettes are suggested, one summer and one fall, but feel free to create one of your own! We think of this cowl as being adorned with little mountains and trees, just like our home.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
MATERIALS:
• 80 yards each of four colors of The Fibre Co Road to China Light (or any Sport Weight Yarn)
• US 4 16” circular needle
• One stitch marker
• A finishing needle

Summer Cowl: C1 = deep purple, C2 = green, C3 = light purple, C4 = blue
Fall Cowl: C1 = gold, C2 = cream, C3 = light brown, C4 = deep brown.
