On the Road is a versatile and wearable crescent shape shawl. With eyelets and stripes decorating the garter stitch, this shawl is a fun and effortless knit with beautiful results.

Knitted from the top down with two colours of fingering weight yarn, the hardest part will be choosing your colours. Soft and subtle, or bright and bold… What’s your colour combo?

YARN
Two colours of Lanitium ex Machina Silky BFL Sock (55% wool, 45% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g), one skein of both colours. Shown in colours St. Petersburg (C1) and Fe26 (C2).

Or similar fingering weight yarn.

AMOUNT OF YARN
Colour 1 (C1): 304 m / 332 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 188 m / 205 yds

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
