The On the Ropes Headband is a lovely quick knit for using up your yarn stash. This pattern is worked flat and seamed to finish.

Materials
5mm straight needles
Cable needle
Tapestry needle
Aran weight yarn

Note: When I wrote and knitted this pattern, I used aran weight yarn. You could easily use a chunky or dk weight yarn. Always use a needle size appropriate to your yarn choice for best results. The width of the headband will be approximately 3.5 inches when knit with aran yarn.

C6F = slip next 3 stiches onto a cable needle and hold to the front of the work, K3, K3 from cable needle
C6B = slip next 3 stitches onto a cable needle and hold to the back of the work, K3, K3 from cable needle
T5F = Slip the next 3 stitches onto a cable needle and hold to the front of the work, P2, K3 from cable needle
T5B = Slip the next 2 stiches onto a cable needle and hold to the back of the work, K3, P2 from cable needle
