One Ball Cumulus Cowl
Here are instructions for making a cowl like the sample on display at Purl and Friends, using Fyberspates’ Cumulus yarn.
It is knit on the bias which makes a wonderfully stretchy fabric. At only 25 grams a ball, the blend of Suri alpaca with silk is light and airy, lofty and warm, and not at all itchy!
My sample is seamless because I began with a Provisional Cast-on and ended by using Kitchener Stitch to graft the two ends together. It is not at all necessary to do this! Your cowl will still look great if you use an ordinary cast-on and cast-off, and then sew the two ends of your cowl together.
Feel free to experiment with the width, length and twist on your cowl (I think a moebius loop would work well). Or use more colours for stripes or colour blocking…
