Contrast Color (CC) - Junction Fiber Mill, Making Tracks Lite (Sport Weight) - 210 yards (192 meters) per 50g skein or any similar self-striping sport weight yarn.

Used MC - 1.9 skeins - 399 yds (364.8 meters) and CC - .95 skeins - 198.5 yds (182.4 meters) for each sample.

Sample 1- knitted in 2 Skeins Natural Grey - Farm Fresh Lite for the MC and 1 Skein Zinnia - Making Tracks Lite for the CC.

Sample 2 - knitted in 2 Skeins Natural Grey - Farm Fresh Lite for the MC and 1 Skein Alpenglow - Making Tracks Lite for the CC.

Needles - US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle and US 10 (6.0 mm) - (for the bind off). Various circular needle cord lengths can be used - recommended at the beginning 22 in (56 cm) - progressing to a 40 in (102 cm).

Notions - Unique Right Side Stitch Marker, Stitch Markers, Removable Stitch Markers, Tapestry Needle.

Gauge - 21 stitches x 32 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in Garter.

Shawl Construction - This is a crescent-shaped, elongated shawl. It starts with a unique, stretchy YO (yarnover) Garter Tab Cast On and increases within the various design elements. As we begin our knitting stroll, we will knit a series of garter stitches and fields of flowers lace. The lace, knitted in the self-striping yarn, is the “potato chippy” portion of the shawl, as you get excited to see what color comes next.
