One Skein Slipper
These are inspired by the louche leather “smoking” slippers from the old black and white Christmas movies I’ve been watching along with the shapes of those I saw littering the stalls in the souk in sunny Marrakesh.
I wanted them to be simple and quick to make. The perfect last minute gift, they are reversible and can be whipped up quickly from just a single skein of yarn. They are ripe for customisation to add your own personal touch - cables, appliques, intarsia, felting, texture varations etc. etc.
This project is simple enough for beginners and the construction will hold the interest of the more advanced knitter.
Materials
1 ball of DK weight yarn (or 2 balls if working in contrasting colours) I used Rico Merino plus a scrap of Socks that Rock for the i-cord edging.
1 set 3.75mm/US 5 dpns
darning needle
The pattern comes with clear instructions on how to customise to your own fit.
