One Thousand Cranes - 2 needle nesting basket body
by Gari Lynn
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
I do not care for felting, having gotten uneven results over the years. I am in awe of folks who create felted items that are beautiful. This pattern is knit with smaller needles to create a dense “stand on it’s own” fabric.
This crane is knit from wing tip to wing tip with I cord “folds” to create the shape. The ends of the basket body, head/neck and tail are knit on the sides of the basket body. The pattern contains pictures show some of the constructions details.
The last picture is of a dewberry, getting ready for Spring.
