I was asked to create a little boy hat based on the line of Petal Hats I have in my shop for girls. As a certain famous ogre taught us Ogres (and little boys) have layers just like onions! So does this hat; right over their little ears - and since I figure little boys would rather wear something that SOUNDS smelly, than something that smells good like petals, the Onion Hat was born! This modification of the Petal Hat, is an easy unique pattern. Don’t mind the girl in the photo - she’s trying her best to look like a rough and tumble little boy!

This pattern is the perfect beginner project. The skills you will need is the knowledge of how to chain, single crochet and triple crochet. The pattern will explain the rest!

All PinkPolish patterns are written with as little “pattern speak” as possible to allow for easy reading and little confusion. We have full color photos and easy to follow steps to ensure your piece turns out just as wonderful as if I had made it myself!
