Any super bulky weight yarn will work for this project. This is a weight category 6 yarn.

The blanket pictured was made with Lion Brand “I wanna make a blankie” yarn in #152 Iron (Main Color, MC) and #207 Zinnia (Contrast Color, CC).

The blanket requires 2 cakes of I wanna make a blankie yarn. You will need about 437 yards (400 m) of main color and about 341 yards (312 m) of contrast color for the heart.

If you use a different brand of yarn, use the hook size recommended on the yarn label. You may need more or less yarn than listed here.

Finished blanket size: 44 by 48 inches (112 x 122 cm) with the recommended yarn and hook size.

Skill level: Easy.

Stitches required: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet.
