Onweer - Dutch for ‘thunderstorm’
A textured double loop cowl for spring when it’s still a bit chilly outside.
Pattern includes full written instructions and charts.
Yarn
2 skeins SnailYarn Merino Twist (100% Superwash Merino, 100 gr-366m/400yds), color Steel.
Or any fingering weight yarn, approx. 640-720m.
Materials
US 3 (3.25 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular needle or size to obtain gauge
US 4 (3.50 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular needle or size to obtain gauge.
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
Gauge
24 sts x 42 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in textured lace pattern (body), washed.
28 sts x 42 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in cable lace pattern (border), washed.
Gauge is not crucial but will effect final size and yardage.
Finished dimensions
Approx 57” (145 cm) circumference, x 11“ (28 cm).
Easy adjustable to tube cowl version.
