Opal, an elegant side to side shawl with great drape, comfortable to wear as a shawl, wrap, cowl, or scarf.

Features a pretty 3 color colorwork design and a tiny picot lace edging to finish it off.

Uses two strands of lace weight alpaca held double, easily substituted with a fingering weight yarn.

Skill: Intermediate

Size: 18.5 x 62”/47 x 157.5cm

Yarn: 5 skeins Cascade Alpaca Lace (437yds/400m, 50g/1.75oz, 100% Baby Alpaca)
A - 1439 Granite Green, 3 skeins (note: sample used all but a few yards of the 2nd skein)
B - 1441 Lavender Mist, 1 skein
C - 1442 Bluestone, 1 skein

Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) straight or circular needles, 2 double points, or size to obtain gauge A 32”/80cm circular is helpful to work the top finishing

Gauge: 25 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette, yarn held double
