This pattern was created as part of the 3rd annual live-design event Whackalong MKAL and now the pattern is available with 2 fully written versions (loop and bandana style) as well as corresponding tick sheets for both. A great stash-buster using slipped stitches to create a cosy bouncy fabric.

Yarn
Version A - Loop style (Malabrigo Rios sample)
MC (multicoloured): 100g DK/or Worsted/or Bulky weight yarn (I used 80g of Malabrigo Rios which is 192m/210y per 100g/3.53oz col. Diana).
CC (solid): 100g DK/or Worsted/or Bulky weight yarn (I used 99g of Malabrigo Rios which is 192m/210y per 100g/3.53oz col. Teal Feather).

Version B - Bandana style (handspun sample)
MC (multicoloured): 100g DK/or Worsted/or Bulky weight yarn (I used 82g/2.89oz handspun merino/bamboo rainbow which was approx. 184m/201y from 99g/3.49oz).
CC (solid): 100g DK/Worsted/Bulky weight yarn (I used 88g/3.10oz handspun in a blend of woolly and drapey fibres in a semisolid grey colour approx. 165m/180y from 98g/3.46oz).

Needles & Notions
4mm (US6) & 5mm (US 8) needles for DK, 5mm (US 8) & 6mm (US 10) needles for Worsted, 5.5mm (US9) & 6.5mm (US 10.5) needles for Bulky.
I do not like feeling trapped by my needles on small circumference projects in the round so I used the magic loop method with two 80cm (31 1/2”) circular needles to knit my cowls. Please choose the best method for you and the appropriate length of either a single circular needle or 2 of them for magic loop.
1 stitch marker for marking the beginning of each round and 2 extra stitch markers if you are knitting Version B.

Tension/Gauge
Will vary depending on your yarn choice. My Version A (unblocked) is 22 sts x 46 rows using 5mm (US 8) needles, and Version B is 19.5 sts x 40 rows using 6.5mm (US 10.5) needles over 10cm/4” square in pattern.

Finished Measurements (unblocked)
Version A: 112cm/44” circumference and 18cm/7” width.
Version B: 41cm/16” (top circumference), 96cm/38” (bottom circumference), and 37cm/14.5” (height at back).
