Summary
Thigh high stockings in an open rib that can be worn above the knee or turned over. These are knitted flat with the heel added before being seamed along the bottom of the foot and up the back.

Additional Information
The original calls for 3oz of 2-ply yarn but the tension suggests that it is closer to 3-ply.

For leg (calf) measurements more than 13.5” UK No. 13 (2.25mm US 1) needles are recommended
