Not your basic kid sweater, open stars kid combines a lace-like bodice with shawl collar for a refined and dapper look. One of the more difficult pattern stitches in the collection, open star stitch produces a rugged, yet lacy look similar to crochet with lots of stretch.

21 sts and 30 rows = 4”/ 10cm in Open Star St. Take time to check gauge.
CONSTRUCTION
Front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up, blocked and then seamed. Stitches are picked up along neckline and shoulders for collar.
