OPENwindow is a boxy, minimal looking vest, designed to highlight the fiber itself like a landscape to look through an open window.

The pattern uses at the front a dandelion stitch and the back is knitted in stockinette stitch with a V shaped eyelet pattern in the middle of the shoulder blades.

Knitted in two pieces, front and back panels are grafted at the shoulders. These are knitted with short rows to adapt to the natural body figure.

To accentuate the waist the twisted ribbing is knitted high creating a contrast to the boxy body panels.

The armholes have an extra wide opening, with a small ribbing that is knit back and forth and overlapped at the bottom by sewing together.

A wide neck opening is finished with a delicate ribbing trying not to gain attention but seeking elegance.

The vest is great to wear over a top for a more contemporary look, but can also be worn over a blouse.

The fun part of the pattern is that one can customize the vest once finished by stitching over the loops of some dandelion flowers with a contrasting colored yarn.

Have fun creating your own personal landscape!
