Openwork Shawl
No longer available
This is a fun shawl to make, and it always gathers many compliments. You will love making it and you will love wearing it even more! The best part is that you can really choose the yarn and size that suits you. I wrote the pattern for an average size shawl, but I give you instructions on how to customize it to suit your needs. The mesh openwork design is created by working in the chain space of the previous row. As the shawl hangs, the rectangles you created in crochet open to become diamond shaped openings. It’s truly a fun shawl to make and wear. Enjoy!
The pattern as written uses worsted weight yarn and a US G and I hooks. Although, the flexibility of the design allows you to use any weight yarn and an appropriately sized hook. This pattern is suitable for beginner and advanced beginner crocheters.
