This is a PDF pattern for openwork lace sweater designed special for Little Darling doll. This sweater is worked from the top down in one piece with a back closure. The top part of the sweater is knit Back-and-forth and the bottom is knit in the Round. For the best fit on the doll, the yoke is knit using short rows with a yarn over technique. In front of the sweater and on the sleeves used the openwork patterns of Japanese designer Hitomi Shida.

The pattern PDF includes row by row instructions. All pattern rows are numbered.


This sweater was designed special for Little Darling doll with the following measurements:

Сhest/Bust Girth = 6.5 inch (16.5 сm)

Hip/Seat Girth = 7 inch (18 сm)

Arm Length/from neck = 5 inch (12 cm)

Arm Girth = 2.3 inch (6 cm)


Finished sweater measurements:

Сhest/Bust Girth – 7 inch (17 cm)

Sleeves Length from neck – 5 inch (12 cm)

Sleeves Width – 2 inch (5 cm)

KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRED: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increase, decrease, short rows with yarn over technique, back-and-forth knitting, round knitting.


MATERIALS:

– Needles: 00 US/1.75 mm, 0 US/2 mm needles either double point or circular. If you are using magic loop, you will need at least a 20 inch/50 cm cable.

– Yarn: Use any lace weight yarn that will give you a gauge 48 stitches and 66 rows = 4 inch (10 cm) in stockinette stitch by size 1.75 needles (US 00). I recommend to use any yarn includes 100% cotton, mix cotton and wool, silk or mix with silk.

– Small snaps for fasten.
