This is a PDF pattern for openwork sweater designed especially for Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll. This sweater is worked from the top down in one piece, with a back closure. The top part of sweater is working in back-and-forth knitting technique and bottom is working in round knitting technique. In front of the sweater and on the sleeves used the openwork patterns of Japanese designer Hitomi Shida.

The pattern PDF is 13 pages and includes:

– a row by row instructions (all pattern rows are numbered),

– schemes of openwork patterns for back-and-forth and round knitting.

This sweater was designed for dolls with the following measurements:

– Сhest/Bust Girth = 6 – 7 inch (16 – 18 сm)

– Hip/Seat Girth = 8 inch (20 сm)

– Arm Length/from neck = 4 inch/5.5 inch (11 cm/14 cm)

– Arm Girth = 3 inch (7 cm)

Finished sweater measurements:

– Сhest/Bust Girth – 7 inch (18 cm)
Sleeves Length from neck – 5.5 inch (14 cm)

– Sleeves Width – 3 inch (7 cm)

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced

KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRED: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, increase, decrease, short rows with yarn over technique.

MATERIALS:

– Needles: 00 US/1.75 mm, 0 US/2 mm and 1 US/2.25 mm needles either double point or circular. If you are using magic loop, you will need at least a 20 inch/50 cm cable.

– Yarn: Use any fingering yarn that will give you a gauge of 10 stitches and 12 rows = 1 inch (4 stitches and 5 rows = 1 cm) in stockinette stitch by size 2 needles (US 0). In the model on the photo used 0.7 oz (20 g) of Vita Cotton Coco yarn, 100% mercerized cotton, 262 yd/1.76 oz (240 m/50 g). But you may need more or less.
