This triangular shawl is based on classic lace-knitting elements: top-down construction worked outward in two equal triangles, fingering-weight yarn worked at a large gauge, and a sideways garter-stitch lace
edging. Adding to these traditional elements, the “lace” pattern of the main portion of the shawl is simply a brioche rib worked at a large gauge and then blocked out to show off the unusual stitch architecture. The increases are brkyobrk double increases worked every fourth brioche row rather than the usual every second row on traditional lace patterns.
