Ophelia Beret
Use code “ALLINTHISTOGETHER” to receive any of my patterns FREE during this difficult and uncertain time- lets practice good social distancing and hunker down and KNIT!
This pattern is inspired by the highlands of Scotland and named by Blue-EyedCrafty! Ophelia painted by Sir John Everett Millais, just happens to be one of my favourite paintings!
This pattern is knit from the bottom up in seed stitch with simple decreases to form a lovely beret/tam. This pattern is wet blocked and dried over a dinner plate to achieve the desired “beret/tam” shape!
This easy seed stitch beret is simple, classic and lovely to wear. Using under 100 grams of heavy worsted weight yarn, this hat will knit up in no time.
Gauge may vary knitter to knitter, some test knitters used 3 mm for the band and 4 mm for the body.
